it is a truly beautiful magazine and its existence an ‘up yours’ to the doubters who see no future in bi-monthlies.
film fan — Sep 20 08 at 10:18 pmI am off to buy my very own copy right now! Yep!

Justin — Oct 03 08 at 5:32 pmI got the first issue and absolutely loved the design and illustration, but found that the writing left a lot to be desired. Based on your vid I may give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a second shot.
Daniel — Oct 07 08 at 4:24 pmI have to admit I’m a sucker for a magazine that sets out to mess with the a-typical magazine format. I have trouble seeing past that sometimes. I do find myself reading most of LWL from front to back as soon as it arrives and the writing may not always be as eloquent as some might expect but I like that they always try to have a definite opinion on the subject matter. They pretend to like everything like most film magazines. As a sidenote I’m a bit worried that my videos are becoming like an adverts. Any suggestions for mags I could review that need a kick up the backside?
Michael — Oct 07 08 at 7:14 pmHow about the new look Q, a magazine clearly struggling in the face of online competition (and ripped to shreds by the Quietus manifesto)? Or something with a huge circulation that has to appeal to the lowest common denominator (and not just designy types with exquisite taste) like a TV listings mag?
Showing the evolution of certain established titles might be interesting too – like comparing one of the early landscape fanziney i-Ds with one of today’s super shiny issues. I am of course assuming that you own every copy of every magazine ever…
