Mike: Is Aerial Books in Melbourne or Sydney. I think I've heard of it before.
Dan: The classic/rare thing is an awesome idea. I like the idea of making reproductions of vintage mags. It would be a great design exercise.

It's interesting to note who is publishing this mag too... http://www.craftpublishing.com/

I got a copy at the station this morning, they have some good names involved in making the selection - Giles Deacon, Dejan Sudjic etc etc, and big name magazines alongside ones I'd not heard of before (The Room from Hungary next to V next to Wig)

Great video - nice and simple, does so much more than a simple photo+caption. More!

As for Distill, it's like the mag version of a decent compilation album, but it could do with a bit more variety. It'll be interesting to see how broad the scope is with future issues.

I'd like to see something along the same line as this, but featuring classic/rare articles from old mags (Restill...?).

Are you doing the video review Michael? I think if you were still back here, you'd love Ariel Books. I just went in today after class and they had a few fresh copies of it already on shelf. It's great to see Doingbird there.
