Ignore Simon, he should get his hair cut if he wants to see things, not persecute you.

Heya Simen

mm is a really exciting project that I can't wait to get onto. It's an idea that's been kicking around in my head for a long time. If you could devise a magazine dedicated to visual culture (graphic design) what would it consist of, how would it work... and more importantly how would it compare to design magazines already in existance?' Loads of really ace people want to get involved so I'm hoping to get the project back up and running by the end of next month.

Re: Links
Some people have a problem with them (well, a couple) and some don't. When designing this here blog I wanted the emphasis to be on the copy. Boicozine aims to link up online publishing with more traditional paper-based media. This meant stripping out the usual gumph you get on blogs that can make them just a series of things to click on and putting 'readability' before 'accessibility'. We're proud of our original content and want to put this to the fore. If you want links, they 'light up' as soon as you rollover them and, in turn, aim to lead you through the copy.

I'm sorry you find them frustrating but I'd hate for Boicozine to be seen as merely a bunch of links to random stuff. Graphic Design and Visual culture deserves more rigorous online commentary than that.

Oh, I'd love to hear more about mm.

You know what else I'd love? Some formatting on links. Make them visually stand out from the text. As it stands now, I don't know of any other blog that so completely fails to alert me where I might want to click. [Brackets] don't count. (Sorry if that sounds harsh; as a designer, I hope you'll understand :)
