New Year Newness

New Year, New Format, New Name, New Everyfink. I set myself only a few days to completely remodel Boicozine into something more modular, less Boico and I think it’s just about there. I have no idea how this looks in anything other than Safari so consider today’s refresh as a sort of ‘beta test sneak preview’. I’ll be bashing the site into shape over the next few months so if you have any feedback please let me know by leaving a comment below… oh, yeah… that’s something I’ll have to fix real quick too. Anyhoo, this should give you an idea of where the site is going. Welcome to the Linefeed.

Hope you likey, Mikey

It’s still pretty sketchy, huh. Just looked at in Camino… won’t be doing that again for a little while. Yikes!

Cheers Mr Fiend. Back at cha. :)

Using Safari, so it should look the way you intended;
I don’t know about the position of black bars (Leave a comment, # comments) in relation to the actual comment boxes. It looks sort of off.

Are you using a grid? I’ve recently started using the css framework from 960.gs and I’m really happy with it.

Other than that, it looks really nice and easy.

Oh yeah, you might want to take a look at the Grid-A-Licious theme for Wordpress: http://suprb.com/grid-a-licious/

Looking good! Happy 2009!

Hey Anders. Thanks for the tips, they really helped bash things into shape. I plugged in Grid-a-licious at one point. It’s lush… but no sidebars. :( Maybe they’ll add some in soon (although it’s fine as is).

Excellent idea!

What’s an excellent idea? Did I miss something?

My Linefeed wishlist (very personal)… The nav should go to the right side. I actually used Recent Posts as a “page selector”, odd, I’ve never done that before, but it felt intuitive. Except that it doesn’t look like a page index, if it looked more like an index readers might use it like one. Maybe even color code recent posts by month in the index?

Thanks for the comments Harry. I like the idea of colour coding months… I wonder how tricky that would be…

Go on. Knock yerself out...
