Make Friends with Magazines

I always find it a little bizarre when a magazine announces it has a MySpace profile. Apparently, being part of a magazines ‘readership’ is not loyalty enough these days and you can now pledge allegiance without the troublesome bother of buying and reading the thing… see, slightly weird. This hasn’t stopped me adding loads of them to my profile though, but then MySpace is addictive like that, it taps into the, very human, compulsion to press a button and see what happens. Now if I could only find the time (and inclination) to work out who my 100+ ‘friends’ exactly are. ¶ Here are a handful of magazines you may (or may not) be surprised to know are up on MySpace waiting to become your friend. I’ll try to update this every now and then, there’s loads… Anthem, Butt Magazine, i-D, Is Not Magazine, Marmalade, Pop, Varoom, Wears the Trousers.
